Responsibilities:
To meet client and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
To implement action plans from risks and opportunities assessment.
To monitor daily M&E related construction works at site.
To carry out necessary daily supervision and inspection of M&E installation works at site.
To ensure all M&E installation works are in accordance with approved drawings/materials/method statements/specifications/local authorities requirement.
To ensure M&E installation works are with quality and acceptable in general.
To attend, witness, sign-off necessary site inspection form, systems' test form, material checking and verifications, etc.
To carry out inspection and supervision during testing and commissioning of M&E works.
To assist in chasing authorities' inspection to M&E works and ensure smooth handling over of M&E works to authorities.
To liaise and work closely with client's representatives at site.
To report and assist M&E Engineer on daily site matters but not limited to drafting of site memo or NCR for M&E engineer verification and signature.
To carry out necessary documentation control and monitoring procedures.
To assist engineer to check all shop drawings submitted by contractors.
To work and coordinate closely with Resident Architect, C&S Resident Engineer and other Clerk of Works to resolve daily or potential site problems that arise from time to time.
To attend scheduled and unscheduled meetings with Client/Consultants/Main contractor/Sub contractor/Specialist contractor/etc to jointly resolve technical issues that arise.
To highlight any potential installation problems that arise amongst consultants' representatives at site and resolve accordingly, if possible.
To ensure that good house-keeping and safety practices are implemented by contractors.
To report regularly to M&E Engineer in charge for the projects or specific project package.
To assist Client Representative in progress checking for M&E works and document the progress as and when required.
To record all M&E defects before CPC.
To carry out inspection of M&E defects before and after CPC and after CMGD.
To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the superior.
To issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) on non-conformances identified.
Job Requirements:
Diploma in M&E Engineering, Building or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of working experience in a similar capacity.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Self-motivated person and able to work independently.
Able to liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and authorities.
Able to work under pressure and long hours.
