Analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and 3D models to understand machining requirements.
Select appropriate machining tools, materials, and techniques to achieve desired tolerances and finishes.
Process Optimization : Continuously evaluate and optimize machining processes to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle times, and improve overall performance.
Identify and troubleshoot process issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Utilize advanced machining technologies, such as CNC (Computer Numerical Control), EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining), and multi-axis machining.
Quality Assurance : Ensure that machining processes adhere to quality standards and specifications.
Collaborate with quality control teams to develop and execute inspection and testing protocols.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for non-conformance issues.
Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, tool setups, and process changes.
Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and training materials for team members.
Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and process improvements to management and stakeholders Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with design engineers and customer to ensure manufacturability of designs and optimize machining processes.
Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth implementation of new processes and technologies.
Provide technical support and training to machinists and operators.
Project Management : Lead or participate in projects aimed at improving machining processes, implementing new technologies, or developing new products.
Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.
Qualifications Education : Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in precision machining or a similar role, with a strong background in CNC machining , EDM, or related technologies.
Skills : Proficiency in machining processes, tool selection, and setup.
Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) .
Experience with CAD/CAM software and programming.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities (Capable of effective communication in English and Mandarin)*** Certifications : Professional certifications related to machining or process engineering (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP) are advantageous.
Working Conditions Environment : The role may involve working in a manufacturing or workshop environment with exposure to machining equipment and tools.
Physical Requirements : May require standing for extended periods, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift and handle materials and tools.
