Your job responsibilities as a Junior Machinist are:
You will be responsible for scheduling jobs for Machinists and machine utilization for manufacturing purposes.
You will ensure that work carried out by Machinists meets the quality requirements as stated in customer specifications.
You are required to identify and solve problems arising from the process/manufacturing area by applying the problem-solving skills that you have learned to enhance CNC machine operation smoothly.
You will provide training and guidance to other Machinists to complete their jobs efficiently.
You are required to operate high precision 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machines while setting up and operating machines on trial runs to verify the accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
You will verify the dimensions for partially finished and finished parts using designated measuring devices.
You will be in charge of the installation of machined replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, and equipment, and test the operation of the unit to ensure functionality and performance.
You are required to deal with engineers, manufacturing personnel, programmers, or other relevant parties to resolve machining or assembly problems.
You are required to complete ad-hoc tasks assigned by your superior as necessary.
You are required to comply with ISO requirements and company policies and procedures.
You are required to practice 5S to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
In order to apply for this position, it will be an added advantage if you possess the following requirements:
You possess a Diploma/Degree in Precision Manufacturing or equivalent.
You have 2 years of relevant work experience with extensive knowledge of functioning, operating, and setting of 3-Axis, 4-Axis, and 5-axis CNC machines.
You have the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
You are capable of using common measuring equipment.
