At HCL Technologies Malaysia SDN BHD, we are seeking a talented Cobol Lead Developer to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. As a Cobol Lead Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our mission-critical systems, utilizing your expertise in CICS, JCL with recent experience in Cards workflow and authorization process. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work with a leading global technology company and contribute to the success of our operations.
What you'll be doing Designing, developing and maintaining complex Cobol applicationsLeveraging your skills in COBOL, JCL, CICS with a focus on Cards Workflow to deliver high-quality solutionsTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to Cards system maintaining system reliability.Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions in Banking Sector.Participate in the development of Cobol standards, best practices, and coding guidelinesProvide technical guidance and support to the broader development teamEnsure code quality, performance, and maintainability through code reviews and testingContribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and toolsWhat we're looking for Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Cobol developer, with a strong background in CICS, JCL and Cards Workflow & Authorization.Should have a deep understanding of Cards systems and be proficient in Cards Workflow and authorization.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues in Banking Sector.Strong understanding of Cobol programming best practices and software development lifecycleFamiliarity with agile development methodologies and experience in a collaborative team environmentEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with business stakeholdersContinuous learning mindset and a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest Cobol technologies and trendsWhat we offer Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits packageOpportunities for professional development and career advancementCollaborative and inclusive work environment with a focus on work-life balanceAccess to cutting-edge technologies and projects that drive innovationSupportive team and leadership dedicated to your successAbout us
