About The Job
This role will be responsible for the commissioning of equipment and processes and will report to the After Sales Service & Commissioning Manager.
Job Description
Inspect and supervise installation of equipment, piping and electrical items as per design. Able to identify incompliances and provide advice to customer at site whenever needed.
Commissioning of equipment and processes at lowest cost and shortest time possible.
Conduct performance test and operator training.
Solving issues during commissioning and work closely with project engineering team if issues could not be resolved immediately at site.
Work in structured way accordance to safety requirements and quality standard.
Prepare punch list and progress reports on installation supervision and commissioning jobs.
Follow up commissioning issues till closure.
Support project deliverables accordance to specifications and improve competitiveness via standardization, review of PID and layout.
Participate in Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Box opening.
Conduct site audit / visit and provide improvement proposal to client.
What You Know
Relevant Engineering diploma / degree from an established University or equivalent with competence to check, and test operational component.
Minimum 2 years' experience in commissioning or maintenance of food or vegetable oil process systems.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Calm and able to maintain stable performance under pressure.
Ability to work with people from all levels and different cultures.
Willing to travel extensively overseas (100-200 days /year) and work on weekends and public holidays.
Having analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read P&IDs. Ability to read single line diagrams will be an added advantage.
