Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and talented Communications Specialist to join our team at Kossan Rubber Industries Berhad, based in Johor Bahru, Johor, MY. This is a part-time remote work position at the Associate Level, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience in communications or a related field.
As a Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to engage with internal and external stakeholders. You will create compelling content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and press releases. Additionally, you will be involved in managing media relations, coordinating events, and supporting internal communication initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute communication plans to promote the organization's brand and initiatives
- Create engaging content for various channels, ensuring consistency in messaging and tone
- Manage media relations by pitching stories, coordinating interviews, and monitoring press coverage
- Assist in organizing and coordinating events, including press conferences, trade shows, and community outreach programs
- Support internal communication efforts through newsletters, intranet updates, and staff meetings
- Analyze communication metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field
- Proven experience in developing and implementing communication strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong decision-making and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Adaptable and resourceful in a fast-paced environment
