Position Title: Compliance Executive
Snapshot of the role:
Assist the Accountant and management to coordinate the flow of work in compliance by performing the following duties:
Work closely with the management and staff to identify regulatory risk and make recommendations of best practices to improve.
Assist in enforcement and follow up improvement and corrective plans.
Create, extract, review, collect, compile and update data, documents, and reports related to regulatory compliance.
Analyse statistics, processes, and cost data to measure performance against standards and identify risks.
Assist in defining audit approaches, objectives, schedules, activities, and resources.
Initiate audits; evaluate control systems, procedures, and processes relative to inherent and control risk, and improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Prepare findings, recommendations, and reports, and make presentations for management review.
Investigate allegations of misappropriation to determine wrongdoing.
Assist in taking minutes during meetings.
What you'll need to succeed:
Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent.
At least 1-2 years of experience in audit, risk management, or governance & compliance.
Meticulous, resourceful, highly organised, with strong communication and analytical skills.
Able to work in a dynamic working environment and with people from all walks of life.
Possess own transport and able to travel to the outskirts of Kuching.
