Minimum Qualifications:
Recognized Diploma from university/colleges preferably in Occupational Safety & Health or Quality Management or Organizational Design & Development or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experiences or project lead, preferably in Logistics, Transport and Warehousing environment and leading a small team to achieve the company's QHSSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental) goals.
"Green card" holder, OSH-Coordinator or certified quality engineer or related skills/competency are added advantages.
Well-versed in local legal requirements (EQA, DOSH, F&M, Road Transport Act, etc), International convention agreements, clients' SLA (service level agreements), etc to ensure full compliance to all requirements.
Good knowledge of QHSSE related International standards management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, Halal, GDPMD, etc.
Good facilitation and communication skills.
Great ability to work independently and through a matrix organization.
Job Responsibilities:
Document, maintain, review and continually improve on the QHSSE Management Systems to the International Standards and other requirements as set by the Management.
Establish plans and ensure full compliance to legal and customers' requirements.
Establish plans for inspection and monitoring activities.
Ensure plans are executed to achieve the designed purposes.
Monitor and carry out the implementation of occupational health and safety that is compliant with regulatory or company policy.
Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas of improvement.
Engage with stakeholders and ensure QHSSE management system implementation within the company's group business divisions.
Monitor and evaluate safety performance indicators, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes to enhance safety practices and procedures.
Monitor and drive performances to achieve set QHSSE objectives, targets and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
Develop and provide QHSSE training courses relevant to each level of staff to ensure their awareness and competency.
Collaborate with HQ and other departments to ensure safety measures are integrated into all aspects of the organization's operations.
Liaise with the authorities and resolve any issues or matters that may arise within the stipulated timelines.
Lead and conduct incident/accident investigation, determining the root causes and initiating the necessary improvement actions.
Manage the activities of outsourced contractors such as security services, fire prevention system services, environmental inspection and testing services, etc.
Be an active member of QHSSE Committee to drive employee consultation and participation.
Support initiatives to develop and implement BCP (Business Continuity Plan) and ERP (Emergency Response Preparedness) processes and activities.
Perform any other tasks as assigned by the management from time to time.
