They are looking to bring on board an excellent Consolidation Accountant to support their business in Petaling Jaya.Job DescriptionManaging the corporate month-end accounting process.Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly Group consolidated management accounts and reports, annual statutory financial statements, budget, interim/annual financial statements, and income tax/deferred tax computation.Perform financial analysis for reporting to the management, Board, and stakeholders following the statutory requirement.Preparation of reporting pack as required by the Board and holding company following the timeline.Ensure submission of the Group budget and forecast per the timeline.Review all subsidiaries' management reports, manage the monthly variance analysis, and provide commentary on the financial performance.Managing the Group's annual audit, including the preparation of audited financial statements for both the Group and its subsidiaries. Ensuring adherence to the group timeline throughout the entire audit process.Preparation of Financial Statements following IFRS and MFRS.Review intercompany balances, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews.Ensuring effective internal control procedures and compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements, taking corrective action as necessary.To enhance, develop, and implement accounting policies and procedures including automation of the process to maintain and strengthen internal controls, to improve the overall finance operations and effectiveness of the Group, including the consolidation module.Enhances existing consolidation and reporting-related processes.Required to engage with departments and subsidiaries within the Group and provide guidance on finance and accounting matters.Liaisons with auditors and relevant parties for statutory and legislative requirements.Standardizations of chart of accounts and reporting format across the Group.To lead or participate in ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned by Management from time to time.Requirement to succeedProven 5-6 years of relevant work experience in managing Group Consolidation with preference given to a candidate with experience in audit.Candidate must be a qualified accountant with at least a bachelor's degree in accountancy, preferably a member of ACCA/CPA/MIA or equivalent.Knowledge of IFRSs & MFRSs.Experience in a public listed entity is privileged.Solid technical background, including consolidated reporting and statutory reporting experience.Ability to take responsibility and be accountable.Able to work independently and as part of a broader team.Deadline driven – you will be working to strict monthly reporting, budget, and forecast deadlines.Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting packages.People management skills – ability to motivate your staff so they meet strict deadlines.Professionalism – group accountant deal with key business stakeholders.Strong level of accuracy and attention to detail.Strong time management and prioritization skills.To ApplyIf you are interested in this role, click 'apply now' to submit your resume (in MS Word format).
