Reporting to the CCoE Asia Lead, the Contract Specialist plays a critical role in providing support to legal teams, ensuring accurate documentation, and facilitating efficient contract processes.
Main responsibilities:
Contract Preparation : Assist in the preparation, review, and editing of contracts, collaborating with legal and procurement when relevant to ensure contract accuracy and, in accordance with relevant contract policies, contributes to the development, deployment, update, and continuous improvement of contract templates and Sanofi contractual landscape.
Contract Research : Conduct research of existing and related contracts and agreements, keeping informed about relevant laws and regulations affecting current and future contracts.
Documentation Management : Maintain organized, accurate and up-to-date contract files and documentation and track contract lifecycle events, deadlines, and renewal dates in Coupa CLMa.
Communication and Coordination : Establish and maintain strong stakeholder and customer relationships, acting as a liaison between Procurement Services, Procurement, Legal and Sanofi's GBUs and Corporate Functions to continuously improve operations, drive simplification and standardization, and strengthen the control environment. Assist and guide customers on questions related to contracts and the contracting process.
Risk Identification and Mitigation : Identify potential legal and contractual risks and collaborate with legal and procurement teams to develop strategies for risk mitigation.
Compliance Oversight : Ensure contracts adhere to laws and regulations and internal policies and procedures affecting contracts.
About youEducation:Legal studies or paralegal certification.
Experience & knowledge:Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a legal support/contract specialist role or as a paralegal. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements. Experience working in a corporate legal environment.
