Controllership Manager

Responsibilities:Month-End Closing (MEC) Support:Coordinate and oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Prepare and review manual journals and balance sheet reconciliations.Prepare monthly BS and PL fluctuation analysis.Ensure financials is in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.Business Partnering: Provide consultation to the business teams on new business initiatives and arrangements to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and adequate internal controls are in place.Develop and maintain strong relationships with business leaders.Support roll-out of corporate policies, processes and systems initiatives to local countries.SOX Compliance and Internal Controls:Drive compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and internal controls in the APJ Region.Develop and maintain solid control documentation and educate key process owners about internal controls.Conduct regular review to assess the effectiveness of controls.Identify potential control issues and proactively mitigate gaps.Lead compliance-related initiatives.Statutory and Internal Audits:Coordinate and support external auditors during the annual audit process.Prepare and provide necessary documentation and information to auditors.Address audit findings and implement corrective actions.Tax Compliance Support:Work closely with the regional tax team to gather necessary information for tax returns.Assist in ensuring compliance with all tax regulations and requirementsSkills, and/or Abilities Required :Strong analytical skills within a finance environmentAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, take initiative, and be self-managedExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsGood logical thinking and creative problem-solving ability Ability to work effectively under pressure Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team Strong ability to grasp business needs and meticulous attention to detail Positive and proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering exceptional resultsStrong sense of ownership and accountability for tasks and projectsStrong adherence to professional integrity, consistently demonstrating high ethical standards, transparency, and honestyKnowledge and Background :Professional qualification or a Degree in Accounting Minimum 8-10 years of experience in audit / controllership/ financial accounting roleStrong understanding of accounting principles and practicesProficient in SOX and internal control frameworksExperience with SAP System will be preferredCompetencies in preparation of financial statements (full sets of accounts)Key SkillsWhat's In It For You?Elective Benefits: Our programs are tailored to your country to best accommodate your lifestyle.Grow Your Career: Accelerate your path to success (and keep up with the future) with formal programs on leadership and professional development, and many more on-demand courses.Elevate Your Personal Well-Being: Boost your financial, physical, and mental well-being through seminars, events, and our global Life Empowerment Assistance Program.Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: It's not just a phrase to us; valuing every voice is how we succeed.
