**Correspondent, Johor Bureau (2-year contract)**:**Description**:- Report on political, business and social issues in Johor, as well as elsewhere in Malaysia as determined by Editors at headquarters in Singapore, for CNA's broadcasting platform and website- Be live on breaking news and daily news stories for the network as required- Work with Editors from headquarters in Singapore to source and suggest stories that showcase Johor and other parts of Malaysia and the issues that matter to the region with the aim of fulfilling CNA's role of allowing our audience to "Understand Asia"- Travel around Johor and other parts of Malaysia to film and report these stories, with supervision from Editors at headquarters in Singapore- Represent Mediacorp by establishing networks and relationships with local industry contacts, important leaders and news-related representatives in Malaysia, attending media-related functions and events**Requirements**:- At least 5 years of reporting experience in political, business and social issues in Malaysia and Singapore- Have good contacts with newsmakers and thought leaders in Malaysia- Able to work independently, as well as in a team with camera crew and other bureau staff- Able to handle administrative duties of managing a bureau, including staffing issues and financial and budgetary duties- Have on-air experience - ideally as a reporter or as a presenter- Be able to write for television as well as online- Based in Johor Bahru- Requisition ID: 1225- Division: NCA - News- Department: NCA - News- Employment Type: Full-Time- Function: Writing/ Editing- Experience: Mid-Senior Level- Education: Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Profession- Location: Johor Bahru, Malaysia
