The Costing Analyst, Operational Costing of Global Product Costing (GPC), primarily based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, will be a part of the Costing Management function in the Product Costing organization at VF Corporation. The Costing Analyst is responsible for costing operations that support hundreds of millions of dollars' worth of product cost across VF's portfolio of brands and products. This professional will support modernization and standardization of costing approaches utilizing consistent data-driven, automated, and efficient processes in partnership with VF product sourcing teams and product supply vendors in the country of manufacturing. This individual will leverage "One VF" scale through the use of harmonized and scalable fact-based costing methodologies. The costing professional will play an important role in the Product Costing Organization with a focus on operational costing optimization. The individual will partner closely with other functions in the Costing Organization to ensure process and best practice adherence.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Operations:
- Ability to manage seasonal costing calendar and associated activities (cost validation, system updates, maintenance), support with information for negotiation with vendors and cost-related analysis.
- Manage buy price updates for Purchase Order creations.
Ability to manage multiple business models/styles with different factories/costing submissions simultaneously in a short lead-time.
Profitability:Provide timely and relevant insights to the respective Costing stakeholders, supported by the Materials and Costing Intelligence teams, to identify opportunities to design for higher profitability and support costing negotiations with vendors.
Connectivity:Assemble and deliver information to the GPC organization, Brand Leaders, Product Vendors, Planning, Sourcing, Global Material Supply, and Engineering that enables a valuable One-VF Global Costing Strategy.
Stakeholder Management:Collaborate and align across the GPC organization as well as with vendors through continuous communication and proactively bring forth ideas for process improvements.
Reporting:Assist on direct reporting needs from Brand/GPC, including Costing Data Warehouse updates, Margin review reports, Purchase Infor Records (PIR), and other tasks as assigned by the reporting manager.
Process Improvements:Provide input in support of improving costing activity productivity and efficiency through eliminating redundancies, automating repetitive tasks, and optimizing processes.
Standardization:Ensure process adherence within your scope of brands and vendors to leverage One-VF scale and operating procedures across the enterprise.
