As theCountry Commercial Director , you will play a critical role in shaping our commercial strategies and managing the overall success of Qashier's business in Malaysia.
This senior position requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in sales leadership and a strong understanding of country-level responsibilities.
You will be responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies, leading and developing our sales teams, and driving revenue growth across our target markets.
You will represent Qashier internally and externally, align cross-functional teams against a strategic plan, and maintain and develop our culture internally.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute clear, comprehensive commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve country business objectives.
Lead the Sales, Business Development, and Customer Success teams, providing guidance, coaching, and support to drive performance and exceed targets.
Recruit and develop skilled, high-performance, and motivated sales executives and team leads.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships, alliances, and distribution channels.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to drive merchant acquisition and retention.
Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and maximize commercial opportunities.
Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.
Monitor and report on key performance metrics, sales forecasts, and revenue projections to track progress and drive accountability.
Requirements
7+ years of leadership experience with a proven track record of driving revenue growth through sales, business development, and/or strategic partnerships at a country level.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
Results-oriented mindset with a history of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
Proven ability in building scalable sales processes and systems.
Ability to lead complex operational and strategic initiatives from end-to-end, including defining the vision and strategy and driving and executing a plan.
Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for innovation and a willingness to embrace change and ambiguity.
Passionate about technology, payments, and the retail/F&B space.
