Country FAM is responsible for managing the accounting functions of Nokia Malaysia entity in compliance with Nokia's accounting principles, internal controls policies, and reporting procedures as well as with external rules and regulations.HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARNFinance and accounting
Oversee and manage accounting and financial functions, including closing, reporting, operations etc in complying with IFRS and Group policies.
Work closely with internal stakeholders (COE, GBS team etc) on accounting related matters.
Oversee the preparation and review of SST, WHT and corporate tax returns and liaise with external Tax agent for compliance and timely submission.
Ensure compliance of E-invoice implementation as required by local tax authority.
Manage to ensure completion of statutory audit and reporting of legal entities on time.
Cash flow management and liaise with Treasury team.
Handle tax audit/central bank etc queries (if any) with internal and external stakeholders.
Governance and compliance
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and procedures (including SOX and internal controls), and IFRS/local GAAP accounting principles within the country.
Ensure timely completion of internal and external reporting requirements.
Continuously monitors performance measures, proposing and implementing process improvement to increase process consistency, quality, efficiency and effectiveness.
Others
Participate/Lead project initiated by Global impacting Malaysia entity.
Support management with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting.
Other ad-hoc projects.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEDegree in Accounting or its equivalent withat least7yearsof relevant work experience, including experience in a managerial role.
A recognized accounting qualification (CA or CPA or ACCA).
Preferred with working experience in MNC environment.
External audit experience and 3-4yearsof working experience in a local SME or MNC preferred.
Good knowledge of financial and accounting, reporting, internal control, and tax regulatory compliance in Malaysia.
Proficiency in Microsoft office, financial software and tools and knowledge of SAP.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, oral and written communication skills.
Proven ability to manage remote teams with leadership skills.
Able to work under tight schedules and with flexibility to pursue for changes in a dynamic working environment.
Proactive, hands-on, and eager to tackle new challenges.
