Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
To ensure profitable and sustainable market share growth and positive development of brand image in key categories supported by a responsive, reliable and cost-efficient organizational backbone. The role will be responsible for the development of the business and execution of its strategies to drive the next phase of growth. With a focus on financial and operational goals, he/she will be responsible to provide strategic direction and lead initiatives to drive both top and bottom-line growth while managing the existing operations and assets of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a powerful vision and road map for adidas Malaysia.
Define and develop growth strategy for the business jointly with the country management team with an aim of meeting the target objective to achieve growth and profitability (Full P/L responsibility).
Translate the strategy into clear objectives and plans, with milestones and clear target setting.
Develop and drive a performance orientated culture to deliver against plans, through clarity and accountability across functions such as wholesale, retail, marketing, ecommerce in line with the requirements of the market and the global organization strategy.
Work closely with the Senior Leadership team in SEA / EM to drive alignment in direction and agendas.
Represent Malaysia internally and externally on senior management forums.
Understand market trends, consumer needs and competitive landscape to drive initiatives on Market or Global level to meet these challenges.
Partner closely with the franchise partners, distributors and key accounts to effectively implement the brand's operating strategies in the market.
Act as a role model in compliance with the relevant laws and regulations as well as the adidas Fair Play Code of Conduct and other internal policies.
Set personal objectives, targets, guidelines and assess all reports to drive the business forward and report to all superiors as needed.
Manage all reports as an integrated team by setting team objectives, targets and guidelines.
Lead and motivate large multi-functional teams that match the company's culture and values.
KPIs:
Full P&L responsibility, Net Sales, OM% and other brand business related KPI's.
Market share (defined as above market growth in Area).
Brand Equity Analysis.
Implementation support for global and regional initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Top and Bottom line budget accountability.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
Individuals with South East Asia cluster knowledge and on ground - working experience in South East Asia region will be preferred.
15+ years of overall experience in the consumer/retail sector.
Individuals with sound track record of having managed operations in growth-oriented business.
Possess outstanding leadership skills, be a strong team player and role model the brand's cultural values.
Strong business and commercial acumen.
Ideally have a strong passion for sports.
