Job DescriptionWho Are We Looking For?
You will be fully responsible for tracking incoming payments, managing invoices for collection purpose, and ensuring that the Company receives payments on time. You will coordinate with other departments, resolve billing issues, and answering any customer queries and resolving payment disputes. This role helps the Accounts Receivable unit in collection of debts in a timely manner for all customer accounts.
Job Description
What will you do?
To manage collections of assigned customer accounts via executing collection strategies and negotiate for payments with customers.
To assist on monitoring customer aging and in issuing reminder letter or any credit control correspondence to remind customers to pay on time.
Touch base with delinquent customers via calls, WhatsApp and/or emails to drive collections and maintain customer relations.
Stakeholder engagement with Sales in identifying and resolving problems impacting collections, i.e. dispute resolution and contract issues.
To prepare and submit monthly reports and forecasts. These include analysis and commentaries on delinquent customers.
Handle special and ad hoc projects as assigned and identify opportunities for improvement to processes, procedures or tools.
Support team members according to back-up plan and on ad hoc basis if required.
Ensure standard work documents are constantly up-to-date.
Any ad-hoc assignments and other responsibilities delegated by the immediate superior from time-to-time basis.
Job RequirementsWhat will be needed?
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other equivalent.
Preferably at least 1 year of experience in credit control or collection. Experience in handling SME portfolio would be an added advantage.
Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Ability to speak in other languages or dialects would be added advantage.
Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently as well as in a team to achieve collective goals.
Familiar with Excel and accounting analysis.
