This role will be managing Credit Operations team of markets (Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong & Taiwan) to deliver an excellent operational performance to markets and enable to achieve the agreed CSI/DSI/KPI/OPI To manage Retail /Corporate/Dealer Credit teams to ensure risk related practice & operation strictly follow global rule and local policies. Establish local Retail/Corporate/Dealer Credit policy to appropriately support business and in line with global credit rule, product rule and local regulation Manage risk related KPIs and adjust risk appetites to achieve company target Coordinate with HQ stakeholders to enhance automation of contract origination process and scorecard development Provide passionate leadership to the team to achieve Underwriting target. and also to act as Deputy Credit Risk Manager Further roles and responsibilities :
Lead Underwriting team to execute high quality standards for each new credit application Periodically provide on-job trainings and analytic feedback to underwriters for continuous improvement & development Provide consultation to markets on risk related topics and best practices in underwriting Establish & update local underwriting guidelines to be line with global credit rule & product rule and meet business needs Ensure Underwriting operations are efficient and fully in compliance with policies & guidelines and achieve company targets Conduct risk audit function over Retail/Corporate dealer Underwriting, and credit administration to ensure risk related operations are in compliance with polices guidelines and comments from Risk Review & Corporate Audit Jointly monitor scorecard & BPR performance with HQ and provide comments & feedback to contribute scorecard & BPR re-work Support in implementation and management of credit related project Conduct other tasks as required by supervisor to support achievement of the company and team's business objectives Provide the extension service for special requirement from dealer and customer. Development of self, through classroom and on-the-job training, while fulfilling a support & mentor role to all new starts in the company Evaluate, train and manage the performance of the team members to achieve high performance and to meet engagement, retention, and succession objectives. Qualifications
Educational Background
Bachelor's degree preferable in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline Professional Experience
Minimum of 7 to 10 years direct experience in credit operations and people management role Extensive knowledge of credit systems and practices, operations in a bank or financial institution or shared services industry. Strong understanding of the hire purchase and credit/finance industry, business operations, financial analysis, portfolio trends/behavior and lending guidelines of market Knowledge of local regulations within Asia Pacific markets. Required Specific Knowledge and Capabilities
Good knowledge in Ms Office software like Word and Excel Good spoken and written English. Added advantage : Conversant in Cantonese/Mandarin and local dialects Good knowledge of Finance Contract Management ERP Good communication and interpersonal skills (ability to interact with all levels) Ability to quickly adapt to new culture and environment and to work with other departments Ability to multi-task Ability to handle stress Ability to work in a team as well as be independent Problem-solving skills Attention to detail Ability to meet deadlines Tactful
