Additionally, this RFP may be pulled at any time up to the execution of a contract. Contractors may not budget or bill IREX for any costs incurred for the submission of the proposal under this RFP.The contractor may be based within or outside the United States.Description of Program: World Smarts Changemakers is a virtual exchange program that joins middle school students in Guatemala and the United States for conversational English and Spanish language learning in online collaboration spaces. Students form US-Guatemalan student teams design solutions for real problems, facilitated by classroom teachers trained in the curriculum focused on UN Sustainable Development Goals, design thinking, and conversations.World Smarts Changemakers is funded by the Stevens Initiative, which is housed at the Aspen Institute and is supported by the Bezos Family Foundation. The program is implemented by IREX with partnership from Empresarios por la Educación.About IREX:PROJECT PERFORMANCE PERIODAll work for this project for both IREX staff and the selected contractor is from June 17, 2024 through July 15, 2024. By the end of the performance period, IREX will be able to utilize the World Smarts Changemakers guides as part of the program implementation.SERVICESIREX anticipates that the contractor would provide the following services:(1) Student Guide and (1) Teacher Guide: Conceptualize, design, and develop the accompanying visuals for an IREX curriculum. This includes designing infographics, illustrations, layout, and animations that translate seamlessly across both print and digital formats. PROJECT EXPECTATIONSIREX will provide the content text, visual course branding elements, videos, and program photos as needed IREX will meet with the vendor to discuss a timeline for the project. IREX will have three rounds of review and edits The consultant will generate innovative ideas and concepts for visually enhancing the IREX curriculum, aligning with educational goals and objectives. The consultant will create visually appealing graphics, including infographics, illustrations, and animations, that effectively communicate complex concepts and information. The consultant will utilize design software and tools to develop high-quality visuals that meet project requirements and deadlines and ensure The consultant will work closely with IREX staff to understand project requirements and incorporate feedback effectively. The consultant will conduct thorough quality checks to maintain consistency, accuracy, and alignment with project objectives throughout the design process. The proposal should demonstrate the contractorâs capacity to provide a single point of contact for the project and the approach for services that the contractor proposes. Proposals must be accompanied by a budget in sufficient detail to determine the price elements, a detailed description of the method used to perform the tasks, and a preliminary schedule.BUDGETBudgets must contain a detailed breakdown of all costs, by individual line item, to determine cost reasonableness and competitiveness. Each line item should include a clear description and justification for inclusion, unit price, quantity (where relevant), and total cost.IREX anticipates a maximum budget of $5,000 USD for this project. Proposals that meet all stated requirements at lower price points are preferred and will be scored accordingly. This figure does not necessarily represent a final figure and should not be interpreted as a commitment.
