Responsible for ensuring our products and services meet or exceed customer expectations.
This role requires a deep understanding of quality control principles, statistical analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
Required to work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
Specific Duties And Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts.
Proactively communicate with Sales/FQE/customers regarding customer quality issues and corrective actions.
Work closely with the Sales/FQE team on customer audits/visits to understand their needs and concerns, and coordinate on all the preparations needed with internal teams.Quality Assurance:Review and analyze customer specifications and requirements.
Monitor and analyze key quality metrics, including defect rates, customer complaints, and warranty claims.
Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues, implement effective corrective actions, and provide the 8D report to the customer timely.
Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve customer satisfaction.
Where deemed necessary, initiate the defect containment activities through suspending the delivery/warehousing/production.Process Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and quality.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize production processes.
Participate in quality improvement projects, such as Six Sigma or Lean initiatives.Audits and Compliance:Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
Support external audits and certifications.
Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations.Data Analysis and Reporting:Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to identify trends and patterns.
Prepare regular reports on quality performance and share findings with management.
Utilize statistical analysis tools to support decision-making.Others:Carry out assignments and assist QA Manager and above in overall quality assurance activities as required.
Provide training for subordinates and contractors (if any) in the Quality Management Systems, where necessary.Requirement
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Science or a related field.
Experience: At least 3 years of working experience in quality engineering in the semiconductor field.
Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
Experience with Six Sigma methodologies (preferred).
Skills: Proficiency in QC 7 Tools, SPC, FMEA, statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Other Requirement: Experience in a fast-moving high-technology manufacturing environment.
