We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Scientist to guide and mentor our team of data analysts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in data analysis, business intelligence, and a demonstrable interest in machine learning. While experience with Oracle OCI is desirable as our company utilizes this platform, we are open to candidates who are eager to learn and adapt to this environment.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Mentorship:
Provide guidance, support, and direction to a team of data analysts.
Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Delegate tasks effectively and monitor performance.
Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
Data Analysis and Business Intelligence:
Lead and participate in data analysis projects to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Contribute to the development and implementation of data-driven strategies.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning and identify potential applications within the company.
Explore and experiment with machine learning algorithms to improve business processes and decision-making.
Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to implement machine learning models.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in data analysis and business intelligence, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in SQL and data manipulation techniques.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
Familiarity with statistical analysis and modeling.
Knowledge of Python for data analysis and machine learning.
Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.
