We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team for a data warehouse migration project. The successful candidate will be responsible for migrating our client's data warehouse from Oracle DB to Snowflake and transitioning the ETL tool from Informatica to Matillion. This role requires a deep understanding of data migration processes, including analyzing existing database processes (packages, cursors, stored procedures) and replicating them in Snowflake.Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and understand existing database processes, including packages, cursors, and stored procedures in Oracle DB.
Design and implement data migration strategies to move data from Oracle DB to Snowflake.
Transition ETL processes from Informatica to Matillion, ensuring data integrity and performance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring that the migration meets business needs.
Develop and maintain documentation for data migration processes and ETL workflows.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data migration and ETL processes.
Ensure data quality and consistency throughout the migration process.
Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in data warehouse migration projects, specifically migrating from Oracle DB to Snowflake.
Strong knowledge of ETL tools, particularly Informatica and Matillion.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions.
Familiarity with data modeling and data architecture principles.
Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
