Supermom, a fast-growing AI data powerhouse, has a mission to enable parents and families to live better and smarter in Southeast Asia. Boasting one of the largest family communities in Singapore and expanding fast in Indonesia and Malaysia, as well as other SEA countries, we are now looking for a Data Management & Governance Lead (6 months contract) to improve the quality and management of our customer data, establish internal SOPs, and oversee the data processing team. This is a regional role covering SG, MY, VN, TH and ID.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of data cleansing and management specialists, providing guidance, training, and mentorship. Develop and implement data cleansing strategies and best practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Design and manage data quality control procedures, including data profiling, standardisation, de-duplication, and enrichment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring data integrity throughout the organisation. Establish data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry best practices. Develop and maintain data quality metrics and reporting mechanisms to monitor and communicate the effectiveness of data cleansing efforts. Collaborate with IT teams to implement and enhance data management tools and technologies. Coordinate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop data strategies that support business objectives. Develop and maintain data cleansing documentation, including data quality rules, procedures, and data dictionaries. Provide guidance and support to teams across the organization on data cleansing and management best practices. At least 6 years' experience in data cleansing, data management, or a related role, with a proven track record of successfully leading data cleansing initiatives.Strong understanding of data cleansing methodologies, tools, and techniques.Proficiency in data profiling and analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, or R.In-depth knowledge of data governance principles, data protection regulations, and industry best practices.Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a remote team.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Familiarity with data management technologies and concepts, such as data modelling, data integration, and data warehousing.Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as GCP or AWS, and big data technologies is a plus.Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in written and spoken English What we offer
