Demi Chef

-Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items, ensuring they meet the establishment's standards.


-Follow recipes and presentation guidelines set by the Chef de Partie and Head Chef and prepare ingredients, sauces, and garnishes as required.


-Ensure all mise en place is prepared and ready for service.


-Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen areas.


-Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage of food items.


-Monitor the quality and consistency of dishes before they leave the kitchen.


-Address any issues with food quality or presentation promptly.


-Support and assist the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations.


-Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service and provide guidance and mentorship to junior kitchen staff and apprentices as needed.


-Help manage and control inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies.


-Ensure proper rotation and use of ingredients to minimize waste.


-Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance culinary skills.


-Stay updated on current food trends and techniques.


-Perform any ad hoc assignments as and when required by the Management.

; Requirements:-


-Previous experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role within a professional kitchen.


-Culinary Diploma or relevant qualification is preferred.


-Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin or other dialects), Bahasa Melayu and English.


-Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and hygiene standards.


-Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


-Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


-Creativity and attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
