The key role of this position is preparing the full complete product information to support the production department to be able to follow the provided information and process to run the product in the product line.
Basically, the need to provide the detailed assembly or parts technical drawing, assembly instruction, packing instruction, NPD document, and other related documents will be based on the requirement.
Also, I will be involved in the Frame, sewing, foaming, upholstery, packing sign-off process, and new product meeting as well.
Job Description
Furniture Design and Drafting:
Create detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and specifications for furniture pieces using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or SketchUp).
Develop assembly instructions and detailed component breakdowns.
Customization and Prototyping:
Customize designs to meet client specifications or adapt to project requirements.
Collaborate with the production team to develop prototypes and refine designs based on feedback.
Material and Construction Knowledge:
Specify appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware for furniture designs.
Ensure designs are cost-effective, durable, and manufacturable using available production methods.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work with the design team to develop innovative and market-ready furniture concepts.
Coordinate with the production team to address design feasibility and resolve technical issues.
Communicate effectively with sales teams to clarify design requirements for clients.
Documentation and Standards:
Maintain an organized library of design files, templates, and revisions.
Others:
Undertake any other tasks assigned by the Management from time to time.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Civil & Structural Engineering.
Certificate in Civil drafting or equivalent is an advantage.
Required skill(s): AutoCAD - Candidates with the required experience and CAD knowledge but without the relevant qualification will be given equal consideration.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
