Responsibilities:Implement and continuously manage security protocols within a DevOps environment to safeguard systems and data.
Deploy security measures such as firewalls, access controls, and encryption technologies to protect infrastructure.
Work closely with development teams to integrate robust security practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify, mitigate, and prevent potential threats.
Actively monitor security systems to detect and promptly respond to any incidents.
Participate in incident response efforts, assisting teams in applying corrective actions to minimise risks.
Stay updated on the latest security trends, tools, and advancements to ensure the organisation's defences remain strong.
Offer guidance and support across teams to ensure best security practices are consistently followed.
Minimum Requirements:A Bachelor's degree in any engineering field.
Enthusiasm to learn and understand security technologies, including firewalls, access controls, SSL/TLS, SSH, and IPSec.
Solid understanding of DevOps principles, such as agile development and continuous delivery.
Knowledge of security standards and best practices, such as OWASP Top 10 and PCI DSS.
Familiarity with security frameworks like the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and ISO 27001.
Experience working with security tools, including vulnerability scanners and penetration testing software.
Understanding of secure coding techniques, including input validation and output encoding.
Basic knowledge of security incident response processes, including identification and mitigation of security threats.
