Job DescriptionWe are hiring for the Director, MD Office position based in Bangsar South to take on a key role in supporting high-impact projects that will help foodpanda achieve its ambitious goals for 2025 and beyond.
This role will be reporting directly to the Managing Director.
You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where your relationship-building and communication skills will be crucial as you collaborate with stakeholders across different departments.Responsibilities:Performance managementDrive business performance management of the MD Office scope, including goal alignment process, evaluating performance, and driving interventions.Act as a "bridge" between local leadership and regional stakeholders to: Discuss country performanceAlign support from functions, and Align and drive strategic prioritiesWork with cross-functional teams (Commercial, Sales, Operations, Marketing, etc.)
in Malaysia on high-impact projects.Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials to support the MD in decision-making and communication with internal and external stakeholders.Collaborate with the MD on various cross-functional initiatives, encompassing OKR evaluations, preparation and review of Investment Proposals, active engagement in WBRs, analysis of insights derived from discussions, and involvement in other associated projects.Thought-PartneringSupport Country Directors in designing solutions to complex business problems.Conduct research and analysis on key issues and provide recommendations to the MD and relevant local directors.Collaborate with the MD to identify key priorities, align them with department heads/directors, and offer support through analysis and project management as required.Take ownership of competitor-related information gathered from customers, riders, and vendors.
Work closely with other department heads/directors, including but not limited to those in pricing, deals/discounts, and overall experience, to stay informed about any relevant movements in the market.Special ProjectsDrive special initiatives that have top-line / bottom-line impact across Malaysia.Manage and oversee strategic C-level projects from ideation to execution.Build project plans with end-to-end ownership, from planning through delivery, as required.Team leadership:Mentor and guide junior staff within the CEO Office, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field.
An MBA or advanced Degree is preferred.At least 8+ years of experience in management consulting, founder's office, project management, or a related roles.Proven track record in leading and executing complex, cross-functional projects.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to generate insights and develop actionable recommendations.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing demands.Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of projectsResilient and adaptable, able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.Openness to coaching and feedback, demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow.Humility in working with others, valuing diverse perspectives and fostering a collaborative environment.Experience working in the technology, e-commerce, or food industry is a plus.
