Role and Responsibilities:
To coordinate and direct all activities of Electrical & Instrument personnel to ensure maximum utilization of resources to ensure good support to meet production and operational goals.Responsible for servicing, calibrating, repair and maintenance of chiller, telephone system, air-conditioning, weighbridge, lighting, Distributed Control System (DCS), all TOH & boiler systems including Gas Turbine Generator (GTG).Maintain proper records of all electrical and instrument servicing, inspection calibration repair and maintenance work and have such records/register made available for perusal if required.To supervise and motivate subordinates to achieve TPM and a safe working environment.To assist the Head of E&I in compiling data, reports and in the maintenance of ISO 9001:2015.To ensure subordinates receive adequate training continuously in order to improve the overall competence of the group.To benchmark on employee's performance and capability. Supervise and motivates Chargemen and Instrument Technicians in preventive maintenance and repair of plant equipment to ensure minimum downtime.To compile data and reports on electricity consumption and plant downtime arising from Electrical & Instrument problems.To ensure all SOP documentation is properly filed and kept.To draw up preventive maintenance policies and schedule for all electrical equipment and instrument.To ensure a participative work environment is maintained throughout the organization.To mobilize manpower to support plant equipment installation, modifications, repairs and start-ups. Any other matter may be assigned from time to time.Compliance with Occupational Safety & Health Act 1994 and Regulations, Environmental Quality Act 1974, Factory & Machinery Act 1967 and Responsible Care.Comply with all quality standards and requirements imposed by the Company and product specification required by local and international clients. Job Success Requirements:
Minimum Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.Have knowledge on DCS Control.Knowledgeable in plant instrument / electrical equipment. Additional Notes / Desirable Skills:
Organized, meticulous and able to work independently.Able to work under pressure and perform within tight datelines.Ability to read and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
