Responsibilities:Explore and implement manufacturing equipment new ways to automate system concept with latest market technology.
Design automation systems for new or modify existing equipment to automate manufacturing processes with systematic plan in Capex and roadmaps.
Run and determine acceptance tests for automation integration, databases, networks, systems (MES/SAP) applications.
Improve system capability (Hardware & software, Automation, Work closely with IT/OT coordinator) based on KPI set.
Collaborate with other business units to understand how to apply automation concept to reduce operation costs and improve KPI of OEE and MTBF/MTTR.
Support daily operations and yield issues to eliminate equipment malfunctions and breakdown with engineering ideas (Less human dependent concept).
Develop checklists for structured problem solving of automated systems.
Transform existing equipment conventional pick & place to robotics and servo as needed.
Identify opportunities for automation to maximize operating profit and upkeep equipment performance towards the department goals & targets.
Establish technical manuals, drawings, models, training documentation, preventative maintenance plans and troubleshooting guides for newly established automated equipment/processes.
Develop an efficient and cost-effective automation program for the manufacturing equipment.
Initiate continuous improvement work to improve equipment productivity and reduce maintenance cost.
Coach, train, supervise and lead a team of technical personnel in equipment automation concepts and knowledge.
Develop engineering expertise and technical know-how in the related field.
Overall in-charge of automation equipment performance; including maintenance, Operation Ratio, troubleshooting and improvement. Ensure smooth running of equipment to support production to achieve target output.
Lead a team to convert equipment to automation system to meet product needs.
Maintain close working relationships with internal customers, manufacturers and service providers.
Liaise with Purchasing Department in developing good vendor support.
Collaboration:Work with internal/external engineering specialists and Schott IT/OT 4.0 committees and specialist departments, especially the Production IT/MES as well as ERP system level.
Job Requirements:Experience in multi-type PLC programming.
Experience in HMI Programming (Omron, Mitsubishi & Siemens).
Knowledge of IT/OT4.0, MES, IoT.
Familiar with 6-axis robot & Cobot programming.
Excellent understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
Good understanding of how to read & draw mechanical drawings/wiring diagrams.
Ability to coordinate with outside suppliers.
Strong analytical and creative thinking skills.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform complex system tests.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with Machine Programming Tools.
Proficient in Technical Drawing Tools.
Knowledge in 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, NX).
More than 5 years in manufacturer automated equipment (design & develop).
More than 2 years' experience in an automation house or equivalent industrial setting.
Fresh graduates are welcome.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronic engineering or other related fields with some years of working experience.
Technical diploma with more than 5 years of related experience.
Experience in equipment maintenance and supervisory activities.
Teamwork, good attitude, and aptitude towards work.
