Epsom College in Malaysia is seeking a passionate and well-qualified Economics Teacher to join our thriving department in August 2025.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Economics at Key Stage 4 (CIE IGCSE) and Key Stage 5 (CIE A-Level).
This role will suit a motivated and dynamic individual who is committed to inspiring students to achieve their full potential in economics.
The ability to teach Business at KS4 and/or KS5 would be a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, engaging Economics lessons to KS4 and KS5 students, following the CIE IGCSE and A-Level syllabus.
Inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a genuine love for Economics in a stimulating classroom environment.
Prepare students for external examinations, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
Track and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback and support.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to curriculum development.
Participate fully in the wider academic, co-curricular, and pastoral life of the College.
Qualifications and Experience:
A degree in Economics or a related discipline is required; a postgraduate teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) is preferred.
Experience teaching Economics at KS4 and KS5 within the British or international school system.
An understanding of the CIE syllabus at both IGCSE and A-Level would be an advantage.
The ability to teach Business at KS4 and/or KS5 would be a distinct advantage.
Strong communication and organisational skills, with a commitment to student-centred learning.
A collaborative and positive approach to teaching and professional development.
Being able to offer BTEC Business at Level 2 would be an advantage.
