Job Description:
. Must have EDI background with development
. EDI specialists should have a solid background in information systems technology and working knowledge of data communication protocols. They must be detail-oriented, have excellent problem-solving skills and have the ability to work independently. A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline is normally required. In addition, employers typically look for several years of IT-related experience, plus three or more years with EDI systems administration, design, analysis and development.
. Customer service skills as well as effective communication skills – both verbal and written.
· Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
· Good working knowledge of standard computer operating systems, i.e. Microsoft, Unix.
· Understand object-oriented concepts.
· Understanding of database objects, tables, views, keys, indexes, stored procedures.
· Understanding of software design methodologies.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
· Knowledge of Microsoft operating system and networks.
· Knowledge of SAP and IDOC processing.
· Knowledge of EDI integration tool like Axway B2Bi, Axway CFT, IBM Sterling Integrator,
. Knowledge of EDI standards ANSI, EDIFACT, Rosettanet Standard PIP 2.0.
Plus: API development experience (Mulesoft)
Typical duties include:
. Implementing and monitoring EDI systems, including data mapping, translation and interface
. Coordinating relations with and serving as a liaison to internal users, vendors and other external partners with respect to data interchange standards
. Performing system testing and quality control checks
. Developing and maintaining EDI documentation
