The Impact You'll MakeAt Lam, as an EH&S Engineer, you're instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental safety programs and policies. Ensuring compliance with regulations, you'll perform safety inspections, conduct trainings, and oversee hazardous waste vendors and processes. Your expertise spans life safety, workplace ergonomics, and monitoring industrial health compliance. Acting as a liaison with regulatory agencies, you'll not only stay current but also reinforce Lam's commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
Job DescriptionsOversee the development, planning, and implementation of EHS policies and procedures from construction to sustaining operations.
Govern governance in compliance with all applicable EHS requirements and handle interactions with DOE, DOSH, Fire Service Department, and all other applicable agencies.
Ensure scheduled management in compliance with DOE requirements.
Ensure EHS training programs for employees in areas such as ergonomics, hazardous material handling, fall protection, control of hazardous energies, emergency response, and other identified compliance training needs. Conduct EHS training for employees and contractors as per the EHS training needs.
Conduct proactive EHS risk assessment reviews and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken to mitigate identified risks for manufacturing and logistic activities.
Audit construction site/contractor safety to ensure the activities conducted comply with EHS corporate and local legal requirements.
Provide governance by conducting routine EHS compliance inspections, incident investigations, and final closure.
Facilitate effective Accident Prevention Program and EHS promotional activities.
Lead Ergonomic Risk Reduction Program, CoHE, Equipment Safety, Logistic Safety, and Contractor's Safety Program with involvement by stakeholders.
Experience & SkillsExperience:
8-12 years of working experience in the EHS field in manufacturing and warehouse.
Experience in new start-up companies, Contractors Safety, Warehouse Safety.
Well-versed in Hazardous Energy Control, Equipment Safety, Material Handling Equipment Safety, Ergonomic Risk Assessment, and Controls.
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, influence, coach, and drive results.
Ability to apply EHS standards and regulatory knowledge to business decisions.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams to meet EHS objectives and maintain an accident-free workplace.
Strong computer literacy skills including mastery knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and convey complex content to peers.
Preferred QualificationsQualification:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Science or Engineering.
EHS Certification:
Competent Person in Scheduled Waste and registered with DOE preferred.
SHO certification registration with DOSH.
Ergonomic trained person.
