Electrical Engineer I, Grid Impact Study (Power Plant) DepartmentElectrical/Electronic Engineering (Engineering)
Undertake power system design and documentation to achieve the objectives of quality, schedule and budgeted man-hours.
Perform power system modelling and analysis such as steady state analysis, harmonic studies, fault analysis, reactive power analysis, transient stability studies and EMT studies relating to renewable power plant (solar, wind, energy storage systems) grid connection studies for distribution and transmission utilities.
Prepare comprehensive study reports. Studies will range from connection feasibility studies for renewable energy developers, to support for ISOs / utilities with detailed static and dynamic connection studies, to other power systems studies involved in the integration or DG and augmentation of power grids.
Prepare deliverables of exceptional quality within the agreed parameters in a defined format and within an agreed timeline and take responsibility to review other employees' work as and when required.
Participate in technical developmental activities including attendance at forums and involvement in industry presentations.
Accept responsibility for the accuracy, quality and timeliness of engineering design performed directly and for that performed by assigned engineering and drafting staff.
Carry out site visits to liaise with clients, gather data or perform commissioning tasks as per studies.
Perform power system study for voltage up to and including 500kV.
