Job Responsibilities:
Assist the client project management team in technical aspects (electrical).
Review and provide justification (with budgetary cost and lead time) on design amendments required to meet site constraints/conditions for client approval as design changes.
Design changes on design schematic and system architecture will be done by the client.
Design changes on site coordinated services will be developed by the engineer and sent to the client for approval.
Review and recommend to the client for approval of material submissions by contractors.
Endorse the submission of regulated material by contractors and equipment vendors.
Resolve service clashes among trade contractors and present to the electrical engineer for review.
Recommend the approval of service clash resolutions to the client.
Validate and endorse the accuracy of as-built materials, equipment models, and capacity supplied and installed on site.
Review and sign off on method statements, material specifications, and detail drawings to ensure correct installation of mechanical/electrical services, including but not limited to cable installation in trefoil arrangement, ensuring equal impedance for parallel UPS cables, refrigerant pipe arrangements free from single points of failure, and quality of embedded services.
Conduct daily inspections on site and provide assurance of the quality of work by contractors and equipment vendors.
Report directly to the client project director.
Provide weekly reports to the client project manager.
Attend weekly project meetings and design meetings.
Job Requirements:
Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
At least 10 years of experience in technical site construction in Malaysia.
Must be able to converse in Mandarin (as the candidate will be liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients).
