THE ROLE:
NexantECA, the Energy and Chemicals Advisory company, seeks a Senior Consultant/Managing Consultant for an opportunity based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience including relevant industry and consulting experience in energy and chemicals, with a technical and commercial focus.
The work will cover technology, economics, and market analysis within a broad range of industries.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and convert proposals for operating companies, banks, private equity firms, licensing companies, etc. for performing feasibility studies, due diligence engagements, supply/demand/trade analyses, technology assessments and other related projects.
Lead the execution, delivery and management of consultancy engagements and selected subscription reports across a broad range of chemicals and energy sectors.
Manage and lead project teams of junior consultants and Analysts for projects of all sizes, to deliver high quality results to our clients, in a timely and profitable manner.
Work closely with clients, prepare, and deliver presentations, and assist in building strong client relationships.
Develop and broaden personal knowledge and capabilities.
Meet internal quality, time, and budget constraints.
Provide supervision and support to other team members as appropriate and assist in training and development activities.
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in relevant industry discipline e.g., chemical engineering, chemistry, energy science or materials science.
Excellent standard of academic qualification.
Skills & Experience:
10 years' relevant work experience including experience in consulting as well as relevant industry experience in business management, corporate planning, technology development and licensing or market research.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for interacting with clients in English.
Strong project management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as keen attention to detail.
Proven ability to generate consulting revenue.
Personal Qualities & Knowledge:
Positive and flexible attitude to work particularly on new initiatives.
Diplomatic in meeting and working with people, good cultural awareness.
