Using a deeper understanding of client objectives, constraints, market, environment and aspirations, we enhance efficiency, productivity and sustainability.We are currently seeking a Technical Safety Engineer to join our Genesis team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.About The JobMain Accountabilities:Preparation, scribing and reporting risk workshops (some or all of HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, Safety Design, ALARP, LOPA, Bow Tie workshops)Preparation of risk analysis studies (qualitative, semi-quantitative, quantitative) and formal safety assessment (FSA) studies, including MAE screening, Fire and Explosion Risk Analysis, Non Flammable Risk Analysis (Dropped Object Risk, Ship Collision Risk, Occupational Risk, Structural Risk), Escape Temporary Refuge, Evacuation and Rescue Analysis, Emergency Systems Survivability Analysis, ALARP EvaluationsTechnical Requirements:Safety engineering skills within specialty area.Understanding of oil and gas risk and safety related codes and standardsPreparation of safety cases and/or safety reports, including Facility Description, Safety Management System Description, FSA Description, Hazard Registers, Bow tie DiagramsExperience in oil and gas systems such as fixed and floating production systems, subsea pipelines, drilling, onshore pipelines, onshore processing plants, offshore construction facilities, offshore accommodation facilities commensurate with project experienceExperience in project development phases such as front end and concept studies, FEED, detailed design, installation hookup and commissioning, operations, brownfield and greenfield projects, decommissioning and abandonment commensurate with project experience.Project Management:Understanding project schedules and Gantt ChartsDelivery of assigned tasks on time and on budgetEarly warning of task overruns, prior to overrunComply with Genesis business administration systems including GEOS, GWMS and GBPMSCollaboration and cooperation with other Genesis personnelConsultancy / Client Service Delivery:Effective written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on high quality report generation and ability to clearly explain technical solutionsAbout YouQualifications & Experience:Degree in Chemical Engineering essentialMaster in Chemical Engineering will be an added advantage5 to 8 years of experience in risk and safety in oil and gas or a similarly hazardous industryWhat's next?Starting Date: ImmediateOnce receiving your application, a recruiter performs an initial check and a review is further carried by hiring manager.
