Internship Overview: This internship offers a unique opportunity for an engineering student to gain hands-on experience in Tonasco, a dynamic advanced machining company. The intern will support ongoing RandD projects and production process improvement, contributing to both the development of new technologies and the enhancement of existing processes.
Duration: 3 to 6 months
Location: On-site at Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam
Work days : 5 days work week
Key Responsibilities:
-Research and Development Support:
-Assist in information gathering and research of new machining processes and technologies.
-Collect and analyze data to support the development of innovative solutions.
-Document findings and prepare technical reports and presentations for internal review.
2. Documentation and Reporting:
-Maintain detailed records of all experiments, trials, and process changes.
-Prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions based on new processes.
-Assist in preparing project documentation for review by internal and external stakeholders.
3. Learning and Development:
-Support in implementing newly developed machining methods and processes into new processes through employee trainings.
-Support in the design and development of training materials related to advanced machining, RandD methodologies, and process improvement tools.
-Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in advanced manufacturing.
Expected Outcomes:
-Contribution to the successful development of new machining technologies or processes.
-Measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, or cost-effectiveness of existing manufacturing processes.
-Enhanced technical skills in machining, process improvement, and RandD methodologies.
Supervision and Mentorship: The intern will be supervised by a senior engineer within the RandD department, who will provide regular guidance, feedback, and mentorship throughout the internship. The intern will also have access to resources and training opportunities to support their professional growth.
Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated based on the intern's ability to contribute to project goals, quality of work, ability to collaborate with the team, and demonstration of learning and growth.

-Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
-Basic understanding of machining processes, materials science, and engineering principles.
