Lead a number of engineering teams within a business unit. Drive teams' performance to ensure that safety, integrity, financial and contractual requirements are met. Initiate and drive continuous improvement activities across teams.
Your responsibilities:
Lead engineering teams responsible for several projects or business areas like projects, products & services, ensuring delivery of a portfolio of projects "on time, in full" with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Build and maintain customer relationships, seek feedback, and provide innovative solutions to meet customer requirements and deliver improvements.
Provide engineering support during the bid phase, support presentation of proposals to customers, work with business development to target new opportunities, and present new technology and innovation at conferences and client events.
Oversee offshore back-office work within one's area of responsibility, conduct regular progress reviews, identify and help mitigate contractual risks arising out of engineering deliverables, and inspire back-office teams to own engineering solutions.
Plan, forecast, evaluate, and manage workload to ensure engineering teams are adequately resourced and developed to meet business needs.
Oversee planning and control processes in the engineering teams, conducting regular reviews to ensure the teams are delivering work packages allocated according to customer and Hitachi Energy obligations.
Create and implement plans to identify and manage business risks, maximize opportunities, and ensure that required systems knowledge is developed and correctly implemented.
Facilitate best practice sharing within the engineering team, initiate and drive continuous improvement activities, and develop, implement, and improve relevant processes, policies, and procedures.
Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed, guiding, motivating, coaching, and developing employees within HR policies.

Your background:
Engineering/Trade qualifications – Electrical or equivalent.
More than 20 years of experience in Electrification, Power generation, or Power T&D in a similar role.
Experience across Electrical Industry, Utilities, Power T&D, or Power Systems projects is an advantage.
Knowledge of Quality standards, Lean Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies from a Value engineering & problem-solving perspective is a plus.
Awareness of power system technology, safety, and IEC/IEEE standards.
Advanced computer skills across MS Office, MS Teams, Outlook, SharePoint.
Ability to express opinions and work with multiple stakeholders and positions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
