To lead the department in managing breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, and improvement projects while ensuring operational excellence and innovation.
Responsibilities:
Manage capital expenditure projects, including planning, budget control, and project schedules.
Stay updated on the latest manufacturing technologies and evaluate their potential to enhance operational effectiveness.
Develop, direct, and evaluate operational excellence and continuous improvement projects.
Oversee the implementation and evaluation of new manufacturing technologies.
Ensure operational effectiveness of existing processes and identify improvement areas.
Supervise engineering department personnel and provide necessary training for optimal performance.
Derive, monitor, and control departmental budgets to meet objectives.
Develop and implement a robust maintenance management system, including preventive and predictive maintenance, parts inventory control, and manpower management.
Foster departmental and interdepartmental teamwork.
Ensure expenditure aligns with the budget.
Ensure minimal downtime and effective KPI achievement by the team.
Provide timely updates to superiors on unresolved issues.
Develop plans to achieve Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
Collaborate with other departments/plants for standardization and critical work execution.
Ensure safety practices are followed and encourage the same in others.
Ensure compliance with ISO standards and rectify complaints from internal and external customers.
Adhere to company policies, regulation, and rules.
Continuously innovate to improve processes and reduce recurrence breakdowns.
Complete all assigned tasks within agreed deadlines.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Graduate Degree or Master in Engineering or relevant technical field or equivalent.
At least 8 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Manager specialized in Maintenance/Repair (Facilities & Machinery) or equivalent.
Possess strong leadership, teamwork, communication, and organizational skills, demonstrated through effectively leading the organization's Engineering department and collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve results.
