This position will be responsible to provide Engineering support to the assigned product lines. This will include elements of product design, product performance, dimensional analysis, customer problem resolution and manufacturing support.
Participate in mold sampling, tooling investigation, part design, and other hands-on problem-solving activities.
This person will work with Product Managers, Design Engineers, Manufacturing, Quality, Test Engineers, Sales and Customers. Direction will come from Engineering and Product Managers.
This position will support a broad range of Wafer/Media handling and process/shipping products used in semiconductor fabrication processes.
As an individual contributor on product design and product development, may leads team of 1-2 engineers in support of product development and project engineering.
In this role you will: Ensures all internal and external stakeholders' requirements are met. Develops and updates product design development plans and schedules. Ensures design documentation exists, is properly released. Conduct Product Design and Design FMEA review with project team as needed. New mold sampling, products verification and qualification. Regularly communicates with management on all aspects of product development activities. Leads Technical projects and ensures all internal and external stakeholders' requirements are met. Ensures project documentation exists, is properly filed and updated monthly. Holds project team members accountable for timely completion of assigned tasks and activities. Sets and communicates project priorities to team. Product Support
Product and process improvement projects - Working closely with Product managers, Manufacturing Engineers and customers for new products/derivative design solutions for the market. Product transfer and current sustaining engineering projects. Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Sales on the quality of the products design related to new products / newly transfer products. New mold sampling, products verification and qualification. Customer application and functionality problem resolution. Assist in developing product test plan for performance testing qualification. Evaluate new or alternative materials and qualify Entegris products at customers' facilities. Identifies and coordinates resources that solve technical problems, provides technical support to others as assigned by manager. Documentation
Maintain Engineering document control on and existing products. Ensure adherence to Entegris Quality System, ISO and/or other standards. Document best work practices and design standards. Safety & Housekeeping
Adhere to all safety procedures including wearing all required protective equipment. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Keep work area clean of debris and follows 6S housekeeping. Accountability
To help the Business Unit achieve the new product development for new technology or new plat form as well as derivative development. To ensure the new product qualified in time and shorten the launching Time to Market and necessary annual revenue. Works with customer to resolve their problems and issues and assist in their technology road map. Traits we believe make a strong candidate: Preferred Degree in Engineering (mechanical, chemical, or plastics) or other technical field with Minimum of 6 - 8 years' experience or >8 years for senior position working in technical field. Broad knowledge if injection molding part design, tooling, processing (injection molding), material and assembly processes, and ability to solve problems with this knowledge. Experience in product design & development, experience in using 3D CAD design system (e.g Pro-E, Creo, Solidworks or others) for design activities. Experience in 3D simulation (e.g Moldflow, Sigmasoft or others) is beneficial. Knowledge and understanding of engineering data and documentation procedures. Maintain documents control on the new design specification and ISO standard. Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing – handling and managing silicon wafers / Media in semiconductor manufacturing facilities, – highly beneficial (Optional). Skills
Good communication skills – English Language proficient, reading, writing and speaking is required. Ability to present technical information to customers and internal stakeholders in written and oral forms. Able to analyze data and information using Minitab, make conclusions and present in a way that is compelling. Ability to travel to visit customers any place in the world to perform product performance audits, help with product use issues, and support sales and application opportunities from a technical, product design perspective. Problem solving skills, understanding and use of formal problem-solving methods beneficial. Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, and similar methodology is beneficial. Exposure to Minitab and statistical methods is required. Ability to use standard PC tools (MS Word, MS Powerpoint, MS Excel, MS Project, Minitab). Your success will be measured by:
