Engineering Manager - Ulu Tiram / Senai

Job Responsibilities:Manage and lead a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff.
Provide mentorship and professional development to engineering team members.
Coordinate with HR for recruitment and staffing needs within the engineering department.
Oversee the development and implementation of product engineering processes for efficient manufacturing.
Collaborate with design and product engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
Lead the design, development, and implementation of process improvements to optimize production workflows and reduce cycle time.
Ensure that engineering processes align with production schedules and customer specifications.
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure that production goals and quality standards are met.
Conduct root cause analysis and resolve any engineering or manufacturing-related issues.
Work closely with the operations team to troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly and effectively.
Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and lower operational costs.
Implement automation and innovative technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to identify areas for optimization and improvement.
Serve as the engineering point of contact for customers and suppliers for product-related technical queries.
Manage technical aspects of supplier relationships and oversee component sourcing and qualification.
Assist with cost estimation, feasibility analysis, and product design reviews with customers.
Manage engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are adhered to.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (quality, procurement, and production) to ensure project milestones are met.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, process flows, and work instructions.
Oversee product testing, validation, and qualification activities to ensure product reliability and safety.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
Skills:
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience in managing cross-functional teams and multi-disciplinary projects.
