Responsibilities and Key Outcomes
Act as a Global / Regional representative of BASF Digital community, supporting BASF Digital roadmap, helping GDS to identify, execute, and implement customer-centric digital solutions in an actionable and measurable way.
As part of the Strategy and Enterprise Architecture team, take an active role in the coordination, specification, design, and evaluation of enterprise architecture related topics.
Drive architecture initiatives across BASF, ensuring alignment with business goals and providing strategic direction.
Develop IT Strategy that enhances architectural principles, reflects enterprise requirements, and fosters innovation.
Establish a proactive guiding role by communicating architectural direction broadly to ensure alignment from the start.
Define and govern architectural standards, tools, methodologies, and blueprints for consistency and quality.
Develop and provide tools for domains, organizations, or regions to manage their digital landscapes with architecture principles embedded.
Facilitate collaboration across architectural community to optimize the IT landscape, ensuring seamless integration and business strategy alignment.
Manage technical approvals for IT demands and oversee escalation processes, establishing robust governance.
Represent enterprise architecture towards business stakeholders and in decision-making, ensuring organizational alignment.
Ensure enterprise / solution architects have opportunities for training, hands-on work, and certifications to stay current with technological advancements.
Job Requirements
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology, or in a comparable field.
Minimum 5 years related working experience in the required technical & professional requirements below.
Technical & Professional Knowledge (mandatory)
Expertise in architecture design principles and integration frameworks.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities across various levels.
Leadership qualities including coaching, mentoring, and conflict resolution.
Broad technical expertise with in-depth knowledge in specific business process areas.
Ability to drive innovation and foster collaboration across teams and domains.
Strong communication, change management, and result orientation skills.
Good interpersonal skills within an international team and fluent in English.
