Job Overview:
You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies and initiatives.
This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure sustainability goals are met and aligning the company's operations with best practices in ESG.
You will also play a key role in enhancing the company's reputation and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive ESG strategies and policies that align with the company's mission and values.
Set short-term and long-term sustainability goals and objectives.
Integrate ESG considerations into business planning and decision-making processes.
Monitor and report on ESG performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and progress towards sustainability goals.
Prepare detailed ESG reports for senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
Ensure accurate and timely disclosure of ESG information in accordance with relevant reporting standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD).
Conduct ESG risk assessments to identify potential environmental, social, and governance risks.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Stay informed about emerging ESG risks and opportunities.
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., HR, Operations, Finance) to promote and implement sustainability initiatives.
Engage with external stakeholders, including investors, customers, suppliers, and community groups, to communicate the company's ESG efforts.
Represent the company at industry conferences, workshops, and other events related to sustainability.
Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and standards.
Keep abreast of changes in ESG regulations and best practices.
Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.
Lead and manage sustainability projects, such as waste reduction programs, energy efficiency initiatives, and community engagement activities.
Coordinate project teams, set project timelines, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability projects and make recommendations for improvement.
Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on ESG practices and policies.
Foster a culture of sustainability within the organization.
Provide guidance and support to employees on ESG-related matters.
Complete any other tasks as assigned by QHSES & ESG Manager, in a timely manner.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree related to Engineering, Environment, Sustainability or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in crude/palm oil refinery or chemical manufacturing industry.
Knowledgeable in Sustainability Management, Policy Analysis, or any equivalent.
Knowledge of crude/palm oil refining or chemical manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies.
Knowledgeable on international and local laws and standards regarding Sustainability.
Demonstrate high awareness on current Sustainability-related topics.
Experience in managing ESG, sustainability, or quality frameworks, standards, and reporting methodologies is advantageous.
Demonstrate ability to effectively manage multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Strong experience in writing policies and procedures.
Proficient in data analysis and statistical reporting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders.#J-18808-Ljbffr
