Located at the heart of the Kuala Lumpur city Centre, Traders Hotel by Shangri-La is looking for a dynamic, passionate, and multi-skilled talent in delivering our Asian hospitality. As Events Manager we rely on you: Reports to Director of Convention and Incentive Sales. Handles all aspects of negotiation and coordination process of events planning. Maximizes revenue opportunities in his/her specific area of responsibility and contributes to the overall events revenue. Handle logistics arrangement for confirmed events and groups with / without events with organizers in a proactive manner Liaise with event / group organizers on finalizing details and gives professional advice on rooming list, set-ups and planning of events Ensure effective communication with clients and internal departments Maintain close co-ordination with respective departments on organisers requirements and last minute event requirements Oversee the operation of the events and works closely with various departments to ensure quality service is delivered to our clients at all times. Ensure account postings are correctly done and review bills with organizers on a daily basis Requirements: Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Tourism/ Hospitality/ Hotel Management. Good command in writing & speaking English. Able to speak other languages will be an added advantage. With a minimum of two (2) year working experience in similar capacity. Self-management and to demonstrate core values among peers. Good knowledge of computer (office) software and operates office equipment skillfully. A team player, computer literate and have a good interpersonal skill. Due to work permit restrictions, only citizens of Malaysia and Permanent Residents of Malaysia shall be considered.
