Job Descriptions:
To prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounts closing for financial statements.
To handle audit, taxation, and banking matters in compliance with laws and regulations of relevant authorities.
To check, cast, code, and key into the system the suppliers' invoices, staff expenses, and petty cash claims against necessary documents. Ensure all documentation is duly approved by authorized personnel.
To evaluate the methods and progress of current investigations, raw materials/equipment, propose and coordinate corrective and preventive action to reduce wastage and improve process capabilities.
To verify/confirm the contractor advance/claim submissions and ensure all claims/payments submission is as per the company's policies & procedures and supporting documents are compiled accordingly.
To assist and review the monthly management report and perform analytical review to understand issues and provide advice to ensure the operation performance is timely monitored.
Liaison with external parties such as external auditor/tax consultants in ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
To carry out any other duties as and when instructed by the Management from time to time.

Olympic Cable Company (OCC) began its operations in 1968 in Larkin Industrial Estate, Johor Bahru, as a producer of housing wires and low voltage electric cables. In the years that followed, the company experienced significant growth and was acquired by PJ Development Holdings Berhad (PJD) in 1990. The acquisition saw the expansion of the Johor factory to accommodate additional machines and the production of a wider range of cable products while a new factory in Malacca was set up in 1997.
