ROLE SUMMARY:
TheExecutive, Corporate Communications & Sustainabilityof Pacific Inter-Link Sdn Bhd is responsible for supporting and executing the company's corporate communications strategies while ensuring alignment with its sustainability goals. This role involves managing both the internal and external communication channels, promoting the company's brand, and fostering a positive image with stakeholders, the media, and the public.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Executive, Corporate Communications & Sustainability position will support the Head of Corporate Communications & Sustainability in all internal and external communication, branding, public relations, and event initiatives.
KEY INTERFACES FOR INTERNAL:
All Staff, All Departments, Regional Offices
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Head of Corporate Communications & Sustainability in managing internal and external communications, branding, public relations, and event activities.
Develop, manage, and maintain strong relationships with media representatives.
Draft editorial materials such as speeches, press releases, and background information.
Monitor media coverage and compile monthly reports, including PR value and share of voice (SOV).
Support the Head of Corporate Communications in crisis management when required.
Organize internal and external events such as staff gatherings, annual dinners, corporate events, press conferences, and media briefings.
Manage website content by drafting, proofreading, reviewing, and submitting materials for the IT department to upload.
Oversee social media management by drafting captions or post copy and publishing content across platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
Draft, review, and proofread content for publications, including annual reports and newsletters.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Handle administrative tasks such as archiving, filing, conducting research, and performing other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Head of Department (HOD) or management.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
At least 1-3 years working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Required skills – corporate communications, public relations, press release, presentation, event management, coordination, project management, emcee, etc.
The candidate should be highly proficient in media relations, social media, communication-related matters, and have strong attention to detail.
Strong written and oral communications skills with an ability to create technical, persuasive, storytelling content.
Work effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments both as a team member and individually with minimum supervision.
Interfaces effectively and positively at all levels of internal and external management, staff, and stakeholders.
Required language(s): Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Diploma in Mass Communications, Corporate Communications, Communications, Media Relations, Public Relations, or equivalent.
