The Executive in the Credit Control Unit is responsible for managing and optimizing the
organization's credit policies and procedures. This role involves monitoring customer accounts,
ensuring timely collections, and minimizing credit risk to support the financial health of the
company.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and monitor a credit control system in collaboration with finance and
executive team members.Establish policies that follow customer service best practices while ensuring customers
submit payments on time.Update/Prepare Credit Control Report by daily through posting and allocating daily
receipt into accounting system.Check debtors ageing reports, approve or deny applications and communicate
decisions to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.Negotiate payment plans with consumers and set instalment terms and conditions
accordingly as per Standard Operating Procedures.Maintain weekly records and conduct regular analysis of the credit-control system and
implement changes as needed to reduce bad debts.Report any payment issues to management or the appropriate team.Follow up on overdue invoices and payments and implement company collections
procedures as necessary and fulfil client requirement for submission of Certified True
Copy (CTC) documentations to settle long outstanding.Ensure the audit preparations are well prepared as requested by auditors.Prepare Intercompany Reconciliation and Statement of Account for submission to
client.Issuance of Official Receipt for payment received every weekIssuance of Credit Note as requested by HOD or SBU.Monitor and follow-up status current outstanding and long outstanding billings by each
project. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Diploma in Accounting or a related field.Experience: 2-4 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or
finance-related roles.Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
o Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
o Knowledge of credit risk assessment and debt collection practice
