Job description: The post holder is responsible to fulfill the requirement of Labuan Entity Compliance for a Full-time employee. With this post, the executive will be assigned to both Marketing, Legal & Strategy and Drilling Finance for restructuring / Co sec related matters & finance matters.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESKnowing, improving, driving and enforcing the Company rules as published in TMS.
Maintaining full compliance with mandatory training requirements, including Code of Conduct related.
FINANCEHandle all relevant Labuan financial accounts and reports in an accurate and timely manner.
Ensure the completion of the General Ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations and production of the P&L statements & Indirect Cash Flow statement.
Perform a variety of general accounting support tasks in the accounting department.
Ensure proper filing of all documents related to Company financial matters.
Perform inter-companies' reconciliations and resolve inter-companies reconciliation items which are long outstanding and disputed.
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all unreconciled items are resolved in the next period.
Liaise with external parties such as auditors and statutory bodies on financial or compliance matters (including the tax agent or external company secretary).
Handle Drilling Group compliance submission and survey.
Oracles System Admin (from Finance side) – COA, AFE, monitoring on ticket issuance.
Collaborate with other teams/departments to address finance matters.
CORPORATE SECRETARIAL / CONTRACT RELATED MATTERSPrepare and submit the compliance requirements (e.g., AMLA reporting requirements, ESR submission, etc.).
Assist Group Corporate Secretarial Department on-site in liaising with the local compliance authority and Corporate Secretarial Agent on-site for any physical Board Meeting arrangement and administration work in Drilling group (all regions).
Observe the annual return filing deadline and follow up with internal & external co sec on the completion of documents for Drilling Group.
Assist in compiling all the Co sec related documents for Drilling group.
Prepare management papers for Novation / Dividend declared / etc.
Follow up on BBC contract, services contract, TP Document with relevant internal parties.
Assist in Drilling corporate exercise (setup monthly meeting & follow up the progress of the agenda).
TAX RELATED MATTERSManage all tax compliance matters including tax provision reconciliation and direct/indirect tax return submission in a timely manner.
Ensure the Companies comply with all tax regulatory requirements.
Serve as the focal point for communication and work closely with external and internal auditors / tax auditors / tax agents.
Monitor and follow up on tax payment/refund positions of the Companies.
Timely escalate tax and finance issues and provide proposals to Group Tax.
Ensure day-to-day responsibility for the smooth running of the operations process.
Attend to any ad-hoc tax matters as and when required.
QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONSMinimum 5 years' experience working in management & reporting with company secretarial knowledge, preferably in O&G industry.
Knowledge in Oracle is an added advantage.
Must be Labuan people.
