Job Purpose: Assists in managing the company's accounting tasks, including daily financial operations and month-end closing activities. Assist in preparing and processing accounting entries, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with internal control standards.Assists in liaising with external auditors and tax agents for audit and tax-related matters, while supporting inventory accounting and participating in stock-taking exercises.
Job Scope: 1. Prepare and ensure timely and accurate submission of accounting entries while maintaining the integrity of financial data.
2. Monitor the company's cash flow position and ensure it remains within targeted thresholds; propose optimal funding solutions when necessary.
3. Ensure all financial data is captured in accordance with internal control guidelines and company policies, maintaining audit readiness.
4. Prepare and ensure timely submission of accurate monthly and quarterly financial reports, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
5. Review aging reports, reconciliation reports (bank, supplier, and general ledger), audit schedules, and address long-outstanding items, ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly.
6. Liaise with vendors regarding payment issues and actively manage vendor relationships to ensure timely payments, preventing any disruption in supply of stocks that could affect operational continuity.
7. Assist in the preparation and review of the yearly budget and business plan, including KPIs, census, and revenue, aligning with management expectations.
8. Actively participate in both internal and external audit processes by gathering and providing relevant financial information and documentation as requested.
9. Identify inefficiencies in financial workflows and propose process improvement initiatives to streamline operations.
10. Oversee ongoing data housekeeping exercises, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of financial data for readiness in system automation and future implementations.
11. Assist in ad-hoc task/project assigned.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any professional or finance equivalent. Preferably with certification of ICAEW/ACCA/CPA/MIA/CIMA or equivalent.Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in healthcare or hospitality.
