Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Food Science and Technology or other related degree;
Professional certificate in Halal Executive course recognised by JAKIM;
Well versed in Malaysian and International Food Regulations;
Minimum 3 years of work experience in food industries;
Possess knowledge and hands-on experience in Halal, ISO 22000, HACCP & GMP Standard;
Well versed in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, support and maintain Food Safety Management System (FSMS), Halal Assurance System (HAS) and support implementation of Good Manufacturing Practice for all Gardenia Bakeries plants, including preparation of related documents (i.e. Hazard analysis, SOP supporting documents);
Managing ISO22000, HACCP, GMP and Halal Certification including certification renewal, new application, auditing and training for all plants;
Responsible for supplier audit, internal audit, external audit, management review, mock drill and mock recall as per ISO22000/HACCP/Halal/GMP guidelines. To liaise and coordinate with external food safety consultants and auditors from MOH, SIRIM, JAKIM, JAIS and 3rd party (i.e. customers, etc.) for onsite and remote audit;
Conduct documentation audit for new ingredients, additives & packaging in compliance with relevant International Food Safety Guidelines (e.g.: food microbiology, pesticide, etc.), Malaysia Food Regulation and Halal;
Develop and implement any new requirements from ISO22000, HACCP, Halal, GMP standards (e.g. allergen management, risk analysis, etc.);
Conduct Food Safety meeting with Food Safety team members & Halal meeting with Internal Halal Committee to update and discuss any relevant matters;
Resolving non-conformance issues related to Food Safety & Halal and present the report to management;
Able to conduct effective training related to Food Safety & Halal if required.
